Della May Smith was born in Madison county, Iowa, May 14, 1887 and died Feb. 9, 1920 at the age of 32 years, 8 months and 27 days. She was married to August Jones on July 6, 1904 and to this union five children were born: Robert, Raymond, Harold, Grace and a baby which died in infancy. Early in girlhood she was converted and joined the Christian church at Kasson of which she was still a member when the Good Master, who said, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant" called and took her home. She was a kind mother, a good wife and neighbor; always patient through all her suffering. She leaves to mourn her loss a husband, four children: three sons, Robert, age 10, Raymond, age 6, Harold, age 4 and Little Grace, age 2 years. Also a father and one brother, Charles M. and a host of friends.
