DAN A WALLACE DIES IN MINNESOTA

Dan A. Wallace, a native of Winterset and member of the internationally known Wallace family, died last Thursday, Feb. 11 at Park Rapids, Minn.

He was a son of "Uncle Henry" Wallace, a former editor of the Winterset Madisonian, who became one of the nation's farm leaders. He was an uncle of the Henry Wallace who served as secretary of agriculture and vice president of the United States under President Roosevelt.

Mr. Wallace had edited farm magazines, "The Farmer" and "The Farmer's Wife" published in Minnesota, for many years. He and three other farm editors were credited with conceiving and outlining the plan which developed into the Agricultural Adjustment Administration.
