Services for Mabel Anna Simmons, 77, Peru, who died Oct. 10 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, will be held Thursday, Oct. 14 at 10 a.m. at the Kale Funeral Home in Truro with the Rev. Janne Clinton of New Virginia officiating. Burial will be in the Peru Cemetery.
She was the daughter of Henry Frank and Mamie Collier Frank and attended Murray and Osceola schools. She was married Apr. 4, 1927 to Lawrence Simmons at Osceola. The couple were parents of one child.
Survivors are a son, Lowell of Truro; grandsons, Larry Simmons of Des Moines and Bruce Simmons of Truro; three great-grandchildren, and two half sisters, Mamie Davis of California and Edith Youmans of Winterset.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers, Ernest Frank and Ross Frank.
