Marlene K. Burdick,49, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, July 12, 2000, in University Hospitals, Iowa City, after a short illness. Services: 3 p.m. Friday, Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 5 to 8 tonight and at the chapel after 2 p.m. Friday.

Survivors include her husband, Paul; a son, Daniel, at home; her parents, Dillard and Lois Paxton of Lorimor; and three sisters, Marcha Cox and husband Ron of Bryan, Texas, and Melinda Siefkas and husband Lane and Marchelle Camp and husband James, all of Peru, Iowa. Also surviving are aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Marlene was born Feb. 7, 1951, in Winterset. She married Paul D. Burdick on July 31, 1982, in Nashua. Marlene worked at Options of Linn County as a job coach.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Marlene's name.

Marlene Burdick, Cedar Rapids

Marlene K. Burdick, 49 of Cedar Rapids died July 12, 2000 at University Hospitals in Iowa City following a short illness.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, July 21, at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Burial will be held at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, July 20, and at the chapel from 2 p.m. Friday, July 21.
