Ivy Estella Shannon, 75, of Bevington, died August 20 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines after a brief illness.
Daughter of Jasper and Emma Carter Conard , Ivy was born July 22, 1902 in Madison County. On February 19, 1920 she married Willard E. Shannon.
Affiliated with the Methodist Church at Patterson, Mrs. Shannon was a member of Ladies Farm Bureau, Bevington Garden Club, Lilies of the Valley and Methodist Women's Association.
She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. A. M. (Doris) White and son, Rex, both of Des Moines. Survivors also include three granddaughters, five step-grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, five-great-grandchildren; a sister, Addie William of Des Moines; nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother.
Services were held by Dr. Paul Hann Tuesday, August 23 at Patterson Methodist Church. Burial was made at St. Charles Cemetery.
