MRS. GEORGE BLAIR of Winterset Dies

Funeral services were held last Thursday from Blair chapel near St. Charles for Mrs. George Blair of Winterset, whose death had occurred Monday, Jan. 6, 1958, at a nursing home here.

Mrs. Blair was 74 years of age at her death. She is a long-time resident of the Blair chapel and St. Charles communities, but her home had been in Winterset in recent years.

She came to Madison county as a young woman, and here she was married, on Dec. 17, 1905, to George J. Blair. They made their home near Blair chapel, later moving to a farm north of St. Charles. In 1939 they retired from the farm and moved into Winterset. They observed their Golden Wedding anniversary in 1955.

She was a member of the United Brethren church at Blair chapel during its organization.

Surviving are her husband; three children, Robert F. Blair of St. Charles, Mrs. Howard Walker of Sedonia, Wash., and Rex Blair of Grand Junction, Colo. She also leaves eight grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Sara Stratton of Portland, Ore., and Mrs. Mildred Myers of Cheyenne, Wyo.

The Rev. S. C. Picken, pastor of the United Presbyterian church at Winterset conducted her services Thursday. Burial was made at Blair chapel.
