OBITUARY

William Joseph Conroy

William Joseph Conroy was born September 9, 1871 at Whitewater, Wisconsin and passed away May 6 at his home northwest of Earlham where he had resided fourteen years. Previous to that time he had lived near Stuart and his boyhood days were spent at Walnut, Iowa.

During his entire life he followed the occupation of farming and when ill health prevented him of active duty, he spent his time of retirement at his farm home.

He is survived by his wife and three daughters who are: Mrs. Oliver B. Walmer, Des Moines; Mrs. Wright Gibson, Stuart, and Mrs. Charles E. Wheeler, San Gabriel, California.

His oldest daughter, Mrs. Joseph Pray preceded her father in death August 24, 1945. He is also survived by six grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at All Saints church, Stuart, Iowa Saturday morning May 9. Burial in the Glendale cemetery, Des Moines.

Casket bearere were: Fred Noland, Harry Dunmire, Ed Simons, E. L. Gomez, Dan Boyd and Joseph Smith.
