Lorena Scott, Winterset

Lorena Lee Scott, 80, of Winterset died Oct. 27, 2005 at her home.

Graveside services were held Saturday, Oct. 29 at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Wichita, Kan., with Pastor Bruce Hayes officiating.

Lorena Scott was born Nov. 6, 1924 to William Earl and Inzie Bell (McDonald) Stevens of Drumwright, Okla. On Sept. 26, 1942, she married Willie R. B. "Bill" Scott in Chateau, Okla. Lorena had been a seamstress for Langdon Manufacturing before retiring. She was a resident of the Wichita, Kan., area for most of her life, having recently moved to Winterset. She was a member of Parkview Baptist Church in Wichita, Kan.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one grandson, Cory Scott; two great-grandsons, Joseph and Christopher Scott; a brother, Earl LeRoy Stevens; and a sister, Josephine Watkins.

She is survived by two sons, Steven Scott of Watauga, Texas, and David Scott of Wichita, Kan.; one daughter, Kathy Burke of Winterset; a brother, J. M. Stevens of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family. Arrangements were handled by Collins Oak Park Chapel in Winterset.
