Wednesday, April 26, 1972Mrs. Clayton Scott Of Dexter Dies
Funeral services were held last Wednesday from the Presbyterian church in Dexter for Mrs. Clayton Scott of that community, whose death had occurred Saturday, April 15.
Mrs. Scott formerly lived near Winterset. She and her husband moved from here to a farm near Dexter. Her husband was killed nearly three years ago in a tractor accident on the farm. Since then she had been living in Dexter.
Mrs. Scott was born in Adair county Oct. 14, 1918, a daughter of James D. and Bernice Crane Hill. She attended school in Dexter and Stuart, and taught rural school in Madison county. She was an elder in the Presbyterian church.
She is survived by her mother; and two sisters, Mrs. Carl Metz of Madison, Wisc., and Mrs. Charles Piercy of Adel.
