Miss Lavina Wilson, of Douglas township, died the early part of the week. She was a woman somewhat advanced in years, and lived at her late residence, near the Prairie Flower school house, for several years. She was a relative of the Ruths, of the same neighborhood. The funeral services were conducted by B. E. S. Ely, of the Winterset Presbyterian church, the interment being in the Stringtown cemetery.

Note: Lavina is buried at the McDonald - Chase Cemetery per her headstone.
