Home, NEe. - Special: Funeral services for Alert E. Terry, 66, retired farmer who died Thursday at a Sioux City hospital after an illness of three days, will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Homer Lutheran church. Burial will be in Winterset, Ia.

Mr. Terry was a past master of Omadi lodge 5, Dakota City, Neb., and a member of the Sioux City consistory.

He formerly was a director of the Homer unit of the National Farm Loan association and at the time of his death was a director of the Homer Cooperative Credit association.

The body was taken to the Barber-Boyd funeral home at South Sioux City.

RITES HELD HERE FOR ALBERT TERRY

Native of This Community Had Lived Many Years in West

Albert Terry, whose early life was spent in this community, died last Thursday, Feb. 28 at the Methodist hospital in Sioux City. He was 65 years of age.

Mr. Terry was born near Winterset, Nov. 16, 1886, a son of Wilson and Agnes Terry. He was one of 10 children. When he was 16 years old he went to Dakota City, Nebr., to live with his sister, Mrs. Viola Ostmyer. After spending five years there he returned to Iowa to engage in farming with his brother, Ben Terry.

In 1918, he went to Montana where he spent 12 years as a forest ranger. In recent years he had again been making his home in Dakota City.

He was an active member of the Masonic order over a long period.

A sister, Mrs. Mary Lotz of Winterset and a brother G. [Grover or "Cleve"] C. Terry of Des Moines are his nearest surviving relatives.

Funeral services were held Sunday from the Anderson home for funerals, in charge of the Rev. Layton Anderson of the Worthington Methodist church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
