MRS. RAY MILLS OF ST. CHARLES PASSES

Funeral Services Were Held Thursday From U.P. Church

St. Charles--Funeral services were held last Thursday from the United Presbyterian church here for Mrs. H. Ray Mills, whose death occurred Feb. 11. The Rev. F. R. McLean of St. Charles officiated. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.

Mrs. Mills was the former Essie Clyde Buchanan, daughter of Charles J. and Mary Buchanan. She was born Nov. 19, 1884, on a farm northwest of St. Charles. On April 9, 1919, she was married to Howard Ray Mills. They were the parents of one daughter, who died at birth.

Mr. and Mrs. Mills spent most of their married life on a farm in Warren county, moving into St. Charles four years ago. Her death occurred at her home here at the age of 67 years.

Surviving are her husband; three sisters, Mrs. Beulah Anderson of St. Charles and Mrs. Hazel Summer and Mrs. Martha Dawson of Des Moines.
