Death of MRS. SARAH GORDON

Sarah A. Gowin was born in Marion, Ind., May 12, 1832, and died March 12, 1908. She was married to W. I. Gordon, Nov. 21, 1850.

To this union were born twelve children, seven of whom are still living. There are left to mourn the loss of her sudden departure beside the children, her husband, two sisters and one brother

She was converted and became a member of the Church of Christ at the age of eighteen and until unable any longer to attend services was regular in her attendance.

The funeral services were held from her late home conducted by Rev. E. E. Bennett, of the Christian church after which interment was made at the Gordon cemetery.

Mrs. Wm. Gordon died Wednesday night at her home in the northwest part of town. We have not learned when the funeral will be held.

Obituary

Sarah A. Gowin was born in Marion, Indiana, May 12th, 1832. She was married to Wm. I. Gordon, Nov. 21st, 1850, and departed this life, March 12th, 1908. To them were born twelve children, seven of whom are living. There are left to mourn her sudden departure beside the children, her husband, two sisters and one brother.

She was converted and became a member of the Church of Christ, of which church she was still a member at the time of her death. As long as she was able to walk to the church she was faithful in her attendance.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. E. E. Bennett, of the Christian Church at the home, and the remains were laid to rest in the Gordon cemetery.
