FORMER RESIDENT DIES IN CALIFORNIA

Mrs. Virginia Schermerhorn formerly of Patterson, died Tuesday, April 18, at Venice, Calif. She was 58 years of age.

Mrs. Schermerhorn was the former Virginia Smith, daughter of John and Margaret Smith. She was born at Patterson and spent her early life in this county, but had lived in the San Francisco Bay area in California for many years.

She leaves her husband, Leo Schermerhorn; two sons, Bob and Jack Schermerhorn, both of Venice; a daughter, Mrs. Fred McDonald of Sunland; five grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Della Bishop of Mar Vista, Calif., Mrs. Ada Lull of Venice and Mrs. Lenore Lull of Winterset.

Funeral services and burial were held last Friday in California.
