John T. Sawyer, 55, of Louisville, Ky., died June 19, 2002 at his home.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 22 at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Burial was at Calvary Cemetery.
John Sawyer, a former resident of Winterset, was a United States Marine veteran, having served in the Vietnam War. He was a member of Zachary Taylor Post 180.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Phillips Sawyer of Louisville; and two daughters, Jane and Anne Sawyer, both of Louisville.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Pearson-Ratterman Brothers Funeral Home, Louisville, Ky.
