JOSEPHINE McDOLE OF WINTERSET DIES

Heart Attack During Sleep Fatal to Long-Time Resident

Josephine McDole, well known Winterset resident most of her life, died at her home here Friday, Jan. 11. She died of a heart attack while asleep. She had been in delicate health for several years.

Miss McDole was 62 years of age. She was a native of Warren county, where she was born Sept. 4, 1889, a daughter of Nathan and Martha McDole. In early life, she came to Madison county with her parents.

She is survived by five sisters, Phoebe McDole and Mrs. Emma McKibben of Winterset, and Mrs. Alma Duff, Mrs. Cora Marley and Mrs. Rex Olmstead of Des Moines; and one brother, J. L. McDole of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.

Funeral services were held Sunday from the Richards Funeral home, in charge of the Rev. Glenn Parrott, pastor of the Winterset Methodist church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
