Graveside services for Ruby Samp, 95, Winterset, who died July 3 at the Bethesda Care Center in Winterset where she resided, were held Thursday, July 7, at the Winterset Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Hann officiating.
Born in Washington County, Kan., on Nov. 24, 1892, she was the daughter of James and Katherine Siefert Rasmussen. She had lived here since 1940, coming from Burlington. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the P.E.O.
On Sept. 15, 1918, she was married to Dr. Walter A. Samp at Grandfield, Okla. She spent most of her life as a homemaker and minister's wife.
Survivors include sons, William of Tulsa, Okla., and Thomas of LaHabra, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers, and a sister.
