Jesse William Salsbury, Carroll

Jesse William Salsbury, 78, died of a heart ailment Thurs., March 26 at Mercy Hospital Medical Center, Des Moines. Services were held March 30 at Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home, Carroll with the Rev. Lanny Tuttle officiating.

Mr. Salsbury was born in Patterson on June 4, 1913 to James and Nellie (Brock) Salsbury and graduated from Patterson High School in 1930. He married Maxine Funnell on February 11, 1939 at Indianola. He worked at Farner-Bocken Company for over 40 years, retiring as credit manager. He was a World War II Air Force veteran and a member of First United Methodist Church of Carroll and the Carroll American Legion.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and a great-grandchild.

Surviving are his wife of Carroll; two daughters, Sandra McCoy and husband, Milton of Cedar Falls and Joan Habetler and husband,Tom of Highlands Ranch, Colo.; two sisters, Hazel Goodwin and husband Vernon of Winterset and Gladys Courtney and husband, Donald of Norwalk; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Burial was at Montpelier Cemetery.
