Friends and neighbors paid their last respect to Mrs. A. J. Hosington, whose funeral occurred on Monday. Mrs. Hosington resided for many years in this neighborhood and was highly respected.

Elizabeth Limb, daughter of James and Hannah Limb was born in Long Stutton, England, Dec. 21, 1829. At eight years of age, she came with her parents to New York, then to Quincy, Ill., where she grew to womanhood and was married to Albert Jefferson Hoisington Dec. 19, 1845. They moved to New Jefferson, Iowa in 1855 and in 1859 they moved to Crawford township, Madison Co., Iowa where they lived ten years, then to Union township where they resided until the death of her beloved husband Jan. 27, 1909. She passed her remaining days with her daughter, Victoria Johnson, of Union township.

To this union were born nine children: Isaac D., deceased; Andrew Jackson, deceased; Victoria Johnson, of Madison Co., Iowa; Mary Rhodes of Brocksburg, Nebr.; John, deceased; Elizabeth Etchison, deceased; Sarah Matilda, deceased; Albert L. of Linnox, South Dakota and James of Ord, Neb. She leaves to mourn her loss four children, 24 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and one brother, Joseph Limb of Stuartville, Mo.

She was converted at eight years of age and confirmed in the Episcopal church when fourteen. At twenty she with her husband united with the Methodist Episcopal church and has since been a faithful follower of Christ. Her life has been one of self sacrifice and an example in many ways always trying to help others live a true Christian life. She will be missed by all who knew her, her courage was never failing.

Her last hours of this life were spent in peaceful sleep and passed to her reward in heaven at 8 o'clock Fri. morning, April 8, 1910, aged 80 years, 3 months, and 17 days.

Funeral services were held at the home of Sam. B. Johnson April 10th at eleven o'clock, conducted by Rev. Clearwater. She was laid to rest by the side of her husband in the Jefferson cemetery. The relatives present were the four children, two daughters and two sons, and an only brother, Joseph Limb, of Stuartville, Mo. Also a number of grandchildren.
