1964LOUIS RUSS DIES AT AGE OF 87 YEARS
Louis Russ of Winterset died Friday, Feb. 21, at a nursing home here. He was 87 years of age.
Mr. Russ had been a resident of Madison county for the last 25 years. He was born in Polk county on Dec. 30, 1876, a son of John and Wiebka Selk Russ. He followed the vocation of bee keeping for many years.
He was a member of the Lutheran church.
Nearest surviving relatives are a brother, William Russ of Long Beach, Calif., and a sister, Mrs. Lena Rusk of Hill City, Minn.
Funeral services were held here Monday from the Wilson Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. E. A. Breiholz, pastor of Trinity Lutheran church. Burial was made in Linn Grove cemetery in Warren county.
