CLAUDE RUGGLES DIED ON FRIDAY

Funeral Services Conducted Here Monday; Burial at Winterset

Claude V. Ruggles, a resident of Madison county for 17 years, died Friday, Jan. 10, at his home in Lincoln township. He was 68 years of age.

Mr. Ruggles was born at Anita Aug. 10, 1895, a son of Ira and Minnie Willison Ruggles. He served in the U. S. Navy during World War I. He worked as an electrician.

He was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses.

Mr.Ruggles was married at Guthrie Center on Jan. 28, 1944, to Elsie Heckman, who survives him. He also leaves three sons, Darrell Ruggles of Huxley, Veryl Ruggles of Nevada, and Ralph Ruggles of Redfield; a daughter, Mrs. Eugene Brittain of Waukee; 12 grandchildren; two brothers, Clarence Ruggles of Davenport & Harold Ruggles of Peoria, Ill.; and four sisters, Mrs. Bea Edwards of Rich Mountain, Ark., Mrs. Oma Gutenfelder of Edenburg, Texas, Mrs. Alice Holland of Dexter, and Mrs. Evangeline Buekle of Charlotte, Iowa.

Funeral services were held Monday from the Wilson Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by Charles MaCheers. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
