Donald Ross, 21 years old, of Winterset, died Thursday, Dec. 27, at Chillicothe, Mo., where he had gone a few weeks ago in search of employment. His death followed a brief illness.
Ross was a son of Floyd and Pauline Ross of this community. He was born in Winterset, Jan. 15, 1930, and spent his life here.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Ross, and daughter, Mary Elizabeth, of Des Moines; five brothers and sisters, Clair Ross of DeSoto, Mrs. Doris Harper of Macksburg, and David, Dorothy, Ann and Dean at home; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Ross and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Cochran.
Funeral services were held Dec. 30 from the Macksburg Methodist church, in charge of the Rev. Glenn Parrott, pastor of the Winterset Methodist church. Burial was made in the Macksburg cemetery.
