TRURO MERCHANT DIED LAST FRIDAY

Truro--James H. Patterson, 55, Truro implement dealer, died last Friday at the home of a son, James, in Lorimor.

Funeral services for Mr. Patterson were held Sunday afternoon from the Methodist church in Truro.

A resident of Madison county for 30 years, Mr. Patterson had served two years as a Truro councilman, and was prominent in civic affairs.

He was born on April 19, 1896 in Clarke county, Iowa, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Patterson. On April 25, 1917 he married Flosie L. DeLong at Osceola.

He was a member of the Truro Methodist church.

Surviving are his wife, a son, James of Lorimor; his father, Charles Patterson of Osceola; three sisters, one brother, and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by a son Charles; and one sister.

Officiating ministers at the funeral services Sunday were W. J. Fowler and Clarence Moore. Burial was in Fields cemetery near Truro.

Howard Patterson of Truro, passed away at Lorimor, at the home of his son, Jim. He had spent the night there and apparently died in his sleep due to a heart attack. Funeral services were held Sunday, Dec. 23, at 2 o'clock.
