W. ROY HILTON DIED LAST FRIDAY

Had Been Ill at Memorial Hospital Here Past Seven Months

William Roy Hilton, a patient at the Memorial hospital in Winterset for the last seven months, died there last Friday, Nov. 16, after a lingering illness. He was 67 years of age.

Mr. Hilton had been a resident of Winterset for two years, making his home here with his son, Jack Hilton and family.

He was a native of St. Paul, Minn., and spent his early life there. He was married in 1908 at St. Paul to Vera Low of that community. They moved to Jamestown, N. Dak., where he engaged in the retail business for many years. His wife died in 1919.

In 1928 he moved to Algona, Ia., where he worked as a commercial salesman. He lived there until coming to Winterset two years ago.

Mr. Hilton is survived by two sons, William R. Hilton, Jr., of Algona and Jack Hilton of Winterset; a daughter, Mrs. Homer Childs of Minneapolis; a brother, Harry Hilton of White Bear Lake, Minn., and a sister, Mrs. Florence Martin of Los Angeles, Calif. He also leaves three grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday from the McCullough chapel in Algona, and burial was made in the cemetery there.
