MRS. DAN LOEHR DIES AT 82 YEARS

Native of Ohio, Had Lived in Monroe Township Over Half Century

Mrs. Daniel M. Loehr, a resident of Monroe township more than half a century, died at her home there Sunday, Oct. 21. She was 82 years of age.

Mrs. Loehr's death followed closely that of her husband, which occurred on Sept. 11 of this year.

She was a native of Ohio, where she was born at Ashridge, in Brown county, on April 30, 1869. She was the former Mary Louisa Trautwein, daughter of Jacob and Sarah Trautwein.

In 1893 she came to Madison county to make her home with her brother, and an uncle. Here she was married on Oct. 23, 1898, to Daniel M. Loehr. They started housekeeping in Lee township, where they lived a year, then moved to Monroe township which since had been their home.

Surviving are two sons, Dr. Doyle M. Loehr of Moscow, Ida., and Warrum Loehr of Grand River township; two daughters, Anna Loehr at home and Mrs. Earnstein Grace of Denver, Colo.; and three grandchildren.

Services were held Wednesday afternoon from Anderson's home for funerals, in charge of the Rev. Clement D. Loehr, pastor of the Winterset Presbyterian church, and the Rev. James Wilkins of Lorimor. Burial was made in Moon cemetery at Macksburg.
