EFFIE SEAMS 86, SUCCUMBED OCT. 21

St. Charles--Mrs. Effie Belle Seams, a long-time resident of St. Charles, died at her home there on Oct. 21 at the age of 86 years.

The daughter of John and Sophia Reither, she was born in Muscatine, July 25, 1865. On Feb. 11, 1885, she married George A. Seams.

They were the parents of 10 children, three of whom died in infancy. Surviving children are Edd of Des Moines, Harry of Estherville, Mont of St. Charles, Leo of Garden Grove, Mrs. Elva Decker of Mason City, Mrs. Ora Cook of St. Charles and Mrs. Audra Winters of Des Moines.

Mrs. Seams is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, two brothers, Tunis Reither of Truro and Augustus of Santa Ana, Calif.; and one sister, Mrs. Nora Armstrong of St. Charles.
