YVONNE L. SLIGHT, Winterset

Yvonne Lea Slight, 81, died of a heart ailment Oct. 25, 2000, at Winterset Care Center South.

A private family service was held Saturday, Oct. 28, at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset with the Rev. Bill Branson officiating. Burial was at Sunset Cemetery in Des Moines.

Yvonne Slight was born May 16, 1919, in Madison County to Thomas and Nellie (Miller) Harrison. She married Raymond Slight in Des Moines. A homemaker Yvonne had lived in Madison County for the first 35 years of her life, moving to Des Moines where she resided until last year, when she moved back to Winterset.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, two half-brothers and three half-sisters.

She is survived by a daughter, Marilyn Young (friend Jerry Ayers) of St. Charles; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
