Laverne William Schultz, 60, of Truro, died March 24, 1995 at his residence. Graveside services are today, Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Fields Cemetery in Clarke County. Pastor Bill Branson of Winterset officiated the services.
He was born in Osceola on Dec. 23, 1934 to Earl and Mildred (Sawhill) Schultz. He graduated from Truro High School and was a lifetime resident of Truro. He had retired from the Natural Gas Pipeline and was a pianist for several musical groups. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Winterset.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
Surviving relatives include his mother; two daughters, Lisa DeMuth and husband Ted of Kansas, and Erin Mohror and husband Eric of Greenfield; one son, Sgt. Edward Schultz of Saudi Arabia; one sister, Sharon Sackett and husband Harry of Stuart; one brother, Eldon Schultz and wife Sandy of Truro; and one grandson.
