Elmer Nielsen, 74, of Mt. Aukum, Calif., died Aug. 14, 1994 at his home. Funeral services were held Aug. 17, 1994 at the Chapel of the Pines at Placerville, Calif., with Pastor Gary Hunter officiating. Burial was at West Wood Hills Memorial at Placerville.
He was born at Greenfield Aug. 14, 1920 to Hermon and Florence (Hardisty) Nielsen. He married Elda Siszel in August of 1948 in Grand Junction, Colo. He lived in Peru from 1934 to 1942. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was a retired printer, owning his own business.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; and one sister.
Surviving relatives include his wife; one daughter, Nancy Fain and husband George; two sons, Ron Nielsen and wife Sherry, and Randy Nielsen and wife Susan; all of Cameron Rock, Calif.; one brother, Larry Nielsen of West Palm Beach, Fla.; three sisters, Lela Sweikert of Winterset, Margery Wade of Chesterfield, Mo., and Zelpha Turner of Columbia, Mo.; and seven grandchildren.
