April Mae Rice, 19, of Winterset, died May 24, 1994 in an automobile accident in Winterset. Funeral services were May 28, 1994 at the First United Methodist Church in Denison with Dr. Edward Peterson officiating. Burial was at the Crawford Heights Memory Gardens in Denison.
She was born in Denison to Douglas and Connie Jo (Slechta) Rice.
Surviving relatives include her daughter, Samantha Jo; her father, Douglas Rice of Denison; mother, Connie Gaa of Winterset; one brother, Travis DeMey of Winterset; one sister, Tara Gaa of Winterset; paternal grandparents, Robert and Dorothy Rice of Denison; and her maternal grandmother, Esther Slechta of Denison.
