SERVICES HELD FRIDAY FOR RUSSELL BAILEY

Long-Time Resident of This County Buried at Union Chapel Cemetery

Funeral services were held last Friday from the Richards Funeral home for Thomas Russell Bailey, whose death occurred July 17 at the Memorial hospital in Winterset.

The Rev. Sherman Hanson, pastor of the Winterset Church of Christ officiated at the services. Burial was made in the Union Chapel cemetery.

Mr. Bailey was 86 years of age at his death. He was born in Madison county, a son of Moses and Mary Chandler Bailey, on May 12, 1865. He was married in 1892 to Kate Dryden, and they were the parents of five children. The wife and mother died in 1932.

He was later married to Etta May Kirby, who survives him. He also leaves three sons, Guy, Clarence and Willie Bailey; 12 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two brothers, E. C. and William Bailey; and two sisters, Mrs. Clara Eyerly and Mrs. Mary Rogers.
