MRS. ALBERT FREY DIED THURSDAY

Was Resident of Crawford Township for Past 41 Years

Mrs. Albert Frey, a resident of Crawford township for 41 years, died Thursday, July 12, at the Peterson Nursing home in Winterset. She was 79 years of age, and had been in ill health the past six months.

Mrs. Frey was the former Luella Ulum, daughter of Jonathan and Helen Horton Ulum. She was born at Solon, in Johnson county, April 22, 1872. When she was 20 years old, she moved with her family to Nevada, Iowa. There she was married, November 8, 1893, to Albert W. Frey. They lived near Nevada until moving to a farm near Patterson in 1910.

Mr. and Mrs. Frey were the parents of nine children, one son dying in infancy, and a daughter, Mrs. Ray Vannatta, in 1938. The husband and father died in 1949.

Surviving are seven children, Homer Frey of St. Charles; Mrs. Guy Fogler of Patterson; Arthur Frey of Park Ridge, Ill.; Lester Frey of Winterset; Earl Frey of St. Charles; Harold Frey of Pleasantville; and Glenn Frey of Cedar Rapids. She also leaves 19 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday from the Richard's Funeral home in Winterset, in charge of the Rev. Oren B. Hall of Maxwell. Burial was made in the Nevada cemetery.
