Alma Cleota Rooney, Winterset

Services for Alma Cleota Rooney, 89, Winterset, who died May 14 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital, were held Wednesday, May 18 at the Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Updike officiating. Burial was at the Glendale Cemetery, Des Moines.

Born Jan. 16, 1894 at Webb City, Mo., she was the daughter of T. J. and Stella James Deer. She was married to Ernest J. Rooney Dec. 22, 1938 at Grant City, Mo.

Mrs. Rooney was a owner of a restaurant in Lorimor and had lived in Madison County since 1958.

Survivors include a half-brother, Jack Deer of McCloud, Calif. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother and a sister.
