1969MRS. MAE ROGERS DIED HERE SUNDAY
Mrs. Raymond A. Rogers of Winterset died Sunday, Dec. 14 at Memorial hospital here. She was 65 years of age and had been in failing health the last 10 years.
Mrs. Rogers was a life-time resident of Madison county. She was the former Mae Johnston, daughter of William and Etta Mae Shreeves Johnston and was born at St. Charles April 3, 1904.
She was married Oct. 17, 1926 at Corning to Raymond A. Rogers of Winterset.
Mrs. Rogers was a member of the First United Methodist church of Winterset.
Surviving are her husband; five children, Mrs. Genevieve Mills of Norwalk, Leo and Ralph Rogers of Winterset, Mrs. Rose Marie Maxwell of Des Moines and Mrs. Evelyn Spencer of Winterset. She also leaves 17 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Genevieve Greenwood of Winterset and Mrs. Laura Kinnaird of Patterson.
Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Collins Funeral home here, conducted by the Rev. Everett K. Burham, pastor of the First United Methodist church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
