OBITUARY

Funeral services were held Monday morning for Mrs. Pearl Briggs. Rev. C. A. Crouse was in charge of the services. Burial was in the cemetery at Afton.

LILLIE PEARL BRIGGS

Lillie Pearl Donner, daughter of Jonathan and Virginia Donner, was born in Afton, Iowa, May 4, 1885. She passed away at her home in Earlham, November 22nd, at the age of 66 years, six months and 18 days, after an illness of several years.

In 1902 she was united in marriage to William Whan. To this union were born a son and daughter.

In 1920 she was united in marriage to Jesse Briggs. To this union were born two daughters.

She is survived by her children, Mr. Clarence Whan of Indian Hills, Colorado, Mrs. Lois Frazee of Villisca, Iowa; Mrs. Janice Turner of Des Moines; and Mrs. Dorothy Emory of Osceola; three sisters, Mrs. Flora Arnold of Milo, Iowa; Mrs. Belle Claugh of Atchison, Kansas; and Mrs. Almira Berry of Minnesota; one brother, Melvin, whereabouts unknown. Also surviving are six grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
