Edd Imboden, son of Frederick and Louisa Imboden was born in Holmes county, Ohio February 2, 1868 and passed to his eternal reward October 18th, 1951 at Macksburg, Iowa at the age of 83 years, eight months, and 16 days.
At the age of two years, he moved with his parents to a farm in Penn township, Madison county and has lived in Madison county the rest of his life except for one year spent in Glendale, California. The last few years he has made his home with his niece, Mrs. Maurice Thrailkill at Macksburg, Iowa.
He was converted in early childhood and was united with the Methodist church at Penn Center where he remained a member.
He lived a clean, upright christian life. He gave his support to the church and any good cause received a response from him. He was very fond of his great nieces and great nephews and passed many happy hours in their company. He leaves them to mourn his loss, also his brother, Fred of Winterset, a sister, Mrs. Cora Boyle and a brother, Roy of Earlham, also nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral services were held at the Penn Center church Saturday afternoon, October 20th with Rev. B. J. Hamilton of Winterset in charge, assisted by Rev. Clyde King of Penn Center. Burial was in the Penn Center cemetery.
