1980Former Resident Dies
Edward "Jim" Roederer, a former resident of Winterset, died Friday, Feb. 29, in Oklahoma City where he had lived for the past 25 years.
Mr. Roederer coached girls basketball in Winterset for several years in the early 1940s before going to Des Moines and then Oklahoma City in 1955.
In Oklahoma, Mr. Roederer was in the insurance business and was a well-known civic leader there.
