Services for Russell Raymond Roby, 87, lifelong resident of Truro who died Monday, Jan. 24, at his residence, will be held Thursday, Jan. 27 at 11 a.m. at the Kale Funeral Home, Truro with the Rev. Janne Clinton officiating. Burial will be in the Young Cemetery, Truro.
Born May 13, 1895 at Truro, he was the son of Walter E. and Florence Jones Roby. He was a machinist and electrician most of his life and was married to Anna Mack. The couple had no children.
Survivors include a sister, Grace Mack, Truro; a brother, Paul Roby and wife Mary of Agency, Ia.; a step-daughter, Ruth E. Royer of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and two brothers, Frank and Alvin.

Russell Raymond Roby, 87, of Truro died Monday, January 24, 1983. Services will be held Thursday, January 27 at the Kale Funeral Home in Truro with the Rev. Janne Clinton of New Virginia officiating the 11 a.m. rites. Interment will be in the Young Cemetery, Truro.
Russell Raymond Roby was born May 13, 1895 in rural Truro to Walter E. Roby and Florence Jones Roby. He attended school in Truro and married Anna Mack in Savannah, Missouri. He worked in Truro as a machinist and electrician attending the Christian Church in Truro.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and two brothers. Frank and Alvin Roby.
Survivors include a sister, Grace Mack and husband, Ronald of Truro, a brother Paul Roby and wife, Mary of Agency, a step-daughter, Ruth Elizabeth Royer of Florida and several nieces and nephews.
