Life-Long Resident Here Dies at Age of 66 Years
Mrs. Olive Adams, a well-known resident of this community all her life, died last Wednesday, March 7, at the Peterson Nursing home. She was 66 years of age, and had been in rapidly failing health for several months.
Mrs. Adams was the former Olive Baugh, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David F. Baugh. She was born near Winterset on Oct. 26, 1884. Nearest surviving relative is a sister, Mrs. Mabel Baugh Burdick of Omaha, Neb. She also leaves a step-sister, Mrs. Orin Dodd of Johnstown, Neb. Her husband, Harry Adams, died in 1939.
Mrs. Adams attended the local schools, and later studied nursing in Des Moines and Chicago.
Funeral services were held last Friday from the Anderson home for funerals, conducted by the Rev. Glenn Parrott, pastor of the Winterset Methodist church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
