NAOMI STROEBER, Missouri

Gloria “Naomi” Stroeber, 82, died Dec. 16, 2006, at the Kirksville Manor Care Center in Kirksville, Mo.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 20, at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville with the Rev. Jim Robinson officiating. Burial was at Highland Park Cemetery, also in Kirksville.

Naomi Stroeber was born May 20, 1924, to Everett Leroy and Mary Opal (Benge) Hermon of Van Meter and was a graduate of Winterset High School. Her marriage to Robert E. Stroeber took place March 30, 1946, in Winterset. Naomi was employed by the Principal Financial Group in West Des Moines for 20 years, retiring in 1987. In 2000, she and her husband moved to Kirksville, Mo. While residing in West Des Moines, she was a member of Amaryllis No. 81 Rebecca Lodge. She also was a member of the Kirksville First United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Judy Troester.

She is survived by her husband, Robert, of Kirksville, Mo.; three brothers, Forrest Hermon of Centerville, Dale Hermon of Marshalltown and Bob Hermon of Tempe, Ariz.; and one granddaughter and two great-grandchildren.

Expressions of sympathy in memory of Naomi may be directed to the Kirksville First United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society in care of Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
