Nancy Viola Sink, 64, of Des Moines died of congestive heart failure April 17, 2002, at Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 22, at Hamilton's Funeral Home in Des Moines. Cremation followed the services.
Nancy Sink was born Jan. 27, 1938, to Frank and Hazel Elizabeth (Evans) Pinckney. A 1956 graduate of Macksburg High School, she married Robert Wolfe on Sept. 5, 1956. Two children were born to this union, Rose and Dan. After Robert's death, she married Julius C. (Shorty) Brown on July 22, 1962. Two children were born to this union, James (Eddie) and Frank. Following Shorty's death, she married Robert Edwin (Ed) Sink on Oct. 31, 1974. Nancy resided for most of her married life in Des Moines. She had worked at Look Magazine and most recently had been a truck driver. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lorimor.
She was preceded in death by her father and her two husbands.
She is survived by her husband, Ed Sink, of Des Moines; a daughter, Rose Wolfe Lampman (husband Larry) of Des Moines; three sons, Dan Wolfe (fiancee JoAnn Hutt) of Greenfield and Eddie Brown (wife Tammy) and Frank Brown, both of Des Moines; a foster daughter, Mary Van Tomme (husband Jeff) of Des Moines; her mother, Hazel Pinckney of Macksbug; three sisters, Sally Jenkins (husband Larry) of Indianola, Ellen Hall (husband Arlie) of Inverness, Fla., and Joyce Carpenter (husband Everett) of Lorimor; 13 grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; two foster grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and a foster great-grandchild.
