Services for Dale L. Simpson, 74, Macksburg, who died June 17, 1985, at the Care Center North in Winterset where he resided, were held Wednesday afternoon, June 19 at the Macksburg Methodist Church with the Rev. Stanley Ganzel officiating. Burial was at the Moon Cemetery.
Born in Adair County on Oct. 18, 1910, he was the son of Roy and Margaret Campbell Simpson. On Aug. 26, 1932 he was married to Bulah G. Richardson at Bethany, Mo.
Mr. Simpson was a farmer and trucker and had retired in July of 1980.
Suvivors include his wife; sons, Willard of Shannon City and Richard of Mt. Ayr; daughters, Catherine Drake of Winterset, Jean Bailey of Norwalk and Wanda Scott of Greenfield; brothers, Charles of Osceola, Raymond of Macksburg and Jesse of Portland, Ore.; a sister, Clara Lewis of Hudson, S. D.; 16 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and a sister.
