Ruby Elizabeth Robbins, 76, of Patterson, died Jan. 7, 1996 at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset. Funeral services were held today (Wed., Jan. 10, 1996) at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset. Burial was at the Mont Pelier Cemetery near Patterson.

She was born in Des Moines on June 10, 1919 to Jessie and Margaret Ann (Griffith) Newkirk. She married Rollie Robbins, Sr., on Feb. 5, 1938 in Des Moines.

She was a homemaker and had lived in Patterson the last 51 years. She was a former member of the Patterson United Methodist Church and a past member of the Methodist Women's Club; Eagles Lodge of Des Moines; and Woodsmen's Auxiliary of Lorimor.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers and three grandchildren.

Surviving relatives include her husband; three sons, Bill and wife, Rosi of Winterset, Rollie Jr. of Des Moines and John and wife, Diane of Patterson; a daughter, Marjorie Robbins of Patterson; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
