Rose Marie Rinkert, Winterset

Rose Marie Rinkert, 69, of Winterset died of a heart attack Nov. 18, 2005, at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset.

A Funeral Mass was held Tuesday Nov. 22, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winterset with Father Mike McLaughlin officiating. Burial was at Winterset Cemetery.

Rose Marie Rinkert was born June 3, 1936 in Madison County to John Henry and Mildred Magdeline (Bindel) Wiedmann. On Dec. 21, 1955, she married James William Rinkert in Winterset. Rose Marie, a homemaker, had been a lifetime resident of Madison County and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winterset.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Bernard and Robert Rinkert; one daughter, Sandy Marie Rinkert; and one grandson, David Patrick Rinkert.

She is survived by her husband, James of Winterset; four sons, Jim Rinkert and John Rinkert, both of Winterset, David Rinkert of Des Moines and Pat Rinkert of Prole; three daughters, Barb Rinkert of Custer, S. D., Cindy Howell of Des Moines and Rita Rinkert of Winterset; two brothers, Glen Wiedman of Winterset and John Wiedman of Clive; seven sisters, Dorothy Bear of Weldon, Edith Jacobs of St. Marys, Kathy Jones of New Virginia, Judy Van Horn of Portage, Wis., and Helen Wiedmann, Joann Barker and Beverly Maxwell, all of Winterset; and 21 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Collins Oak Park Chapel in Winterset.
