Carold Rinard, New Mexico

Carold Rinard, 80, of Carlsbad, N. M., died Oct. 3, 2001, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas.

Graveside services will be held at a later date at Fairview Cemetery.

Carold Rinard was born Jan. 27, 1921 to Bert and Lucy Davidson Rush Rinard of DeSoto. He was a 1940 graduate of DeSoto High School. On Sept. 16, 1955, he married Betty L. Parks in Portland, Ore. Carold farmed from 1941 to 1977. He also was a member of the Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Betty of Carlsbad; a son Troy Rinard of Greeley, Colo.; a daughter, Holly Underwood of El Paso, Texas; three sisters, Mary Mintle of Des Moines, Hilda Sandusky of Clear Lake and Bonnie Feldman of Van Meter; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Chapel of Angles Funeral Home in Lubbock, Texas.
