LEE H. SMITH, Winterset

Services for Lee H. Smith, 79, Des Moines, who died Nov. 20, 1987, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, were held Monday, Nov. 23, at the Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Zona Lautt officiating. Burial was at the Clark Cemetery. Military graveside rites were also held.

Born in Union County on Nov. 8, 1908, he was the son of Frank and Ruth Denton Smith. He was a retired farmer, a lifelong resident of Dallas and Madison counties and an Army veteran of World War II. He had been residing at the Winterset Care Center South.

Mr. Smith never married. He is survived by nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.
