Services Held For Former Resident

Funeral services were held at the Christian Church in Norwalk on Friday, July 2, 1976 for Frank E. Smith.

Mr. Smith was born Sept. 9, 1903 in Madison County, the son of William and Sadie Smith. Previous to his retirement in 1970 he had operated a farm near Nevada. He had farmed for many years in Madison and Warren Counties.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Olson Smith, by his parents, and one brother, Glenn F. Smith.

Survivors are his wife Grace, two daughters, Mrs. Donna Thomas and Mrs. Darlene Iverson, one son, Lawrence, all of Norwalk, six grandchildren and one great grandson. Also surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Helen Wright of Granger, Mrs. Bess Clampitt of Earlham, Mrs. Laura Black and Mrs. Gertrude Shoemaker of Winterset.
