D. A. Countryman Funeral Was Friday

Funeral services were held Friday, July 28 at 2:00 p.m. at the Welch Funeral home for David Albert Countryman. Rev. Arthur Hadley was in charge of the services. Mervyn McLennan, accompanied by Mrs. McLennan, sang a solo. Burial was in the Earlham cemetery.

OBITUARY

David Alfred Countryman was born April 7, 1874 at Clarion, Iowa. He passed to his eternal reward July 26, 1950, being 76 years, three months and 19 days old.

He was the son of John Henry and Mary Lucretia Countryman.

His early life was spent in around the northern part of Iowa, coming to this part of the state in his young manhood.

He was united in marriage to Mattie May Henner at Redfield, November 27, 1897. To this union was born one son, Wilfgred Arthur of Omaha, Nebraska.

In his passing besides his faithful wife and son, one sister, Maude Kessey of Redfield, and two brothers, Isaac Claud of Redfield, and Delbert Eugene of Earlham. Two brothers, Wilfred and Edward and two sisters, Emmy and Ida preceded him in death. Many nieces and nephews and a host of friends mourn his passing.

He was alwyas known to be generous, honest and thoughtful to his fellowman. A good neighbor and a friend to all who knew him.
