Clark Smith, 98, of Santa Cruz, California, died of heart failure on Sunday, Oct. 30, 1988. Services and burial were conducted in Santa Cruz.
Mr. Smith was born in Illinois, but was raised in Winterset. Shortly after his marriage to Winnifred Orris, they moved to Des Moines where he plied his trade as an electrician. During WW II they moved to California.
Surviving are his wife "Winnie", two sisters, Mary Richard of Indianola and Ruth Ruppert of Florida; three sons, Orris, Shirley and Don; three daughters, Jo Ann, Norma and Colleen, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
