Funeral Held on Wednesday With Burial in Local Cemetery
Roy B. Yates died at his home in Winterset Sunday, Feb. 26, at the age of 47 years. He had spent practically all his life in this community.
The son of Henry and Lillian Bard Yates, he was born in Union township July 24, 1902. He was married July 1, 1921 to Marie K. Clampitt. Her death occurred in 1936.
He is survived by his father, and two brothers, Nestor and Ray Yates.
Funeral services were held this Wednesday from the Richards Funeral home in Winterset, in charge of the Rev. Glenn Parrott, pastor of the Winterset Methodist church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
